My only regret was I didn't take pictures of the food. Amazing little Japanese on Como parade. Highly recommend the Tempura Udon. The food is freshly prepared and is amaaaazing. And best of all, well priced. They are also licensed btw. Service is excellent. Great family run restaurant well worth the effort of getting up there. Perfect spot to grab a bite before or after going to the beach. Either grab a hand roll from the front or order at the counter and take a seat. The food was delicious and meticulously prepared. The sashimi was firm and was served on a bed of ice. Hand rolls tasted fresh and the fried element was still crispy. Tempura was cooked to perfection we thought. Cute space and authentic service. We might come back to Parkdale just because of this place!!!

Delightful! Stopped in for a weekday lunch and everything was perfect. The restaurant is nicely set out and the service was excellent. Fresh tuna sashimi and crispy/crunchy calamari tempura. The tasty dashi brother of the upon noodles paired well with the prawn tempura. Will be back again to start working my way through the rest of the menu.

Quality Japanese cuisine in the local area. It's a tiny shop, so it's recommended to book if you have a bigger group. The lunch set is amazing. I’ll definitely return to try out the other options.

Hands down, one of the best, if not the best Japanese place bay-side. We've recently moved here and live about 500m from the Parkdale shops and had discovered this little gem not too long ago and now we realise how lucky we are to have this as our local. We come here almost once a week for dinner and they also have weekend specials. Having travelled to Japan a handful of time, Hinata definitely stands up to the standards. this is a must go!!!!

Pretty decent family run Japanese cafe. Lots of sushi options in window. Dine in We had gyoza. Good and crispy. Tofu. Crispy on outside soft inside, however the batter was more like bread crumbs which is different to norm. Special fish head. Was a tad over salted but was a fun change. Udon tempura was good. Ramen was ok. The whole egg In it was a bit weird , needs cutting in half. The combo tempura again, good selection of items like fish, prawn and veg. Not much seating. And the toilet is outside near the station /public loos.

Recently came back from a trip to Japan and was experiencing withdrawal from authentic Japanese food and this place did not disappoint! Great portion sizes and great taste!
